We were the first batch for the novitiate after the blessing of the new shrine in campus of Kentenich Vidyaniketan, Bangalore. The physical presence of the shrine helped us to deepen our shrine experience. We were intensively involved with many activities and the spiritual moments to make this newly consecrated Shrine, that they may be a cradle of blessings and sanctification for us and for the people around. Therefore the Shrine and the pastoral aspect were well expressed in the discussions during the search for the course ideal. Looking back into our lives in the past days, we realized that there is a creative element in all what we were doing so far. It was a fact that there was a tendency among us to do things differently in order to bring out the better result. Thus, observing this quality of creativity and the willingness to cherish this natural quality we have ‘baptized’ our course with the name ‘Creative Shepherds of the Shrine’. Rev. Fr. Peter Locher was the novice master and Rev. Fr. Wilson Parekkattil assisted him to ensure an enriching formation for our course.Towards the end of the novitiate, on 30th April 2006, 13 of us sealed the first contract. At the end of the theological studies and the pedagogical regency 12 of us did the final contract and received the order of diaconate on 20th August 2010. The course sealed a covenant with our Father and Founder in 2010 September 15th at his tomb in the Adoration Chapel, Germany. We have completed our Sion-Time in Germany in 2010 September to November. Most of us were ordained in the centenary year of the priestly ordination of our Father and other became priests at the beginning of the New Year 2011.

United in Covenant of Love, Fr. Joby Vathaloor | Course leader, Creative Shepherds of the Shrine

I do believe that you are always near.

Whatever happens, Mother mild,

I blindly trust in you and in your child”
