We, as a course want to be called as “Heralds of Sion”, which indicates our mission as Sion fathers with its challenges and the awareness that we are chosen instruments of God and all that we do is for the greater glory of God. Our mission is focused mainly on the family and youth to form a new man in the new community based on Schoenstatt spirituality. At the same time, we want to act as a bridge between man and God. Being active preachers of the word of God, we want to radiate the light. Moreover, we are ready to face all the challenges that come across our way of fulfilling our mission. Our mission is of Sion. Therefore, we love to feel with and be identified with our Sion Community. And we would like to take initiatives that will help to build up Sion in India in the spiritual sense. Since the mission aspect is the most important part of our course ideal and the word ‘Herald” means the one who proclaims, we relate the word symbolically with our mission as Sion fathers and thus, we want to be known as “Heralds of Sion” The word “Marian” shows our special attachment and devotion to Mother Thrice Admirable, in which we take Mary as our mother, the source of our strength and courage to go forward in doing our mission. In fulfilling our mission, we need to have faith in divine providence, for which blessed mother is our model. Being men of prayer, we want to live the Schoenstatt spirituality to have a constant touch with God. “United in the father” means our attachment and eagerness to relive Fr. Joseph Kentenich, our father and founder. Why we want to relive Fr. Joseph Kentenich is that we want to live an exemplary life, for which he is our model, since he was an exemplary priest. “United in the father” also shows an aspect of “Unity” among us as a course and our unity as a course with the father. Unity among us is the secret of our hard working together and bringing out our creativities, which will help us fulfill our mission effectively. Another aspect lies hidden in our course ideal is “Love”, which has two dimensions. One is on us as a course and the other one is towards others. Love inspires us to feel with one another and others, which should lead us to serve the poor, have concern for the sick and the suffering and get identified with them to work for them.
